Schedule a road test

Alvin Street-Wise Driving School is an authorized Third Party Skills Testing (TPST) school for drivers of all ages! We service Alvin, Pearland, Friendswood, Santa Fe, Manvel, Texas City, Dickinson, Galveston, Angleton, the Gulf Coast, Brazos and anybody in Texas with a valid Learners Permit. Take your DPS approved driving test with us!

In order to test with a Third Party Skills Testing (TPST) authorized school you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age, have held a valid learner license for a minimum of six months, completed an approved Teen or Parent Taught Driver Education in its entirety and completed the Impact Texas Teen Drivers video (ITTD)
• Be 18-24 years of age, have completed the adult driver education course in its entirety and have a restricted driver license and completed the Impact Texas Adult Drivers video (ITAD)
• Be 25 years of age or older and have a restricted driver license and completed the Impact Texas Adult Drivers (ITAD) program video. ITTD  and ITAD are available at no charge through the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Impact Texas Drivers website

     What does this mean for you?  It means that you don’t have to go to the DPS to take the Road Skills Test (driving test) if you meet the eligibility requirements for your age group. It also means that you can schedule your test at your convenience without having to wait in line, increased privacy, and If you have previously taken the Road Skills Test at a Texas DPS Office, but failed, you can retest here without a long wait for another test date.      All drivers who take the Road Skills Test must go online and complete the MANDATORY Impact Texas Teen Drivers (ITTD) program or the Impact Texas  Adult Drivers (ITAD) program. After completing the video class, students will need to print and sign the course completion certificate which will be one of the required documents for the Road Skills Test.
